Design Museum Brussels

Established after the Atomium’s acquisition of the Plastic Design Collection in December 2014, the Design Museum Brussels offers an innovative and surprising insight on the plastic design from the fifties to the present (permanent exhibition / Plastic Design Collection) and on other forms of design through other periods, expressions, materials and themes (temporary exhibitions).

The Design Museum Brussels is also an auditorium with about 400 seats and an educational and cultural service with activities designed for children, teens and school groups. Lectures and screenings, in connection with the themes that are explored, enrich the museum’s program of activities.

Through exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and lectures, the Design Museum Brussels aims to ensure that design is intelligible to one and all.

Atomium

The Atomium is not only a monument and architectural unicum, but also an exhibition space with a permanent and with temporary exhibitions.
While the permanent exhibition is dedicated to the Expo58 which lead to the building of the Atomium, the temporary exhibitions often treat design and history topics related to this time, such as an exhibition about the legendary Belgian flight company Sabena.

Lantarenmuseum

This is a very special museum.

No entrance, no fee – just in the open air of the Rue Delva 75.

Look up and you will see the evolution of Brussels’ street lights in about 20 features.

It is worthwhile to visit when your are in neighbourhood to visit the Atomium or Adam Museum.

Plan your vist around the falling of the night so that you can see the lights on.

Stop by the very typical bar La Perle for a coffee or a beer to feel the local atmosphere.

You can also view them on Phozagora.

In short, […]
